The judges focus on the strengths of the business model (value proposition, market opportunity, sustainable competitive advantage etc.) and the team’s ability to execute the business plan presented. Meraki Top 10 Finalists are selected on the basis of careful evaluation of the team’s full business plans. The final day presentation involves questions from the judges on the judging parameters aside from giving advice to the teams on how to build a ‘venture fund-able’ and successful venture.
While all judges use evaluation forms to guide their decisions, the aim of the judging panel is to arrive at a consensus as to which venture they would most likely fund if they were an investment group. Ultimately, the winning team is the team which convinces them to invest in their idea.
Evaluate the Business Plan will be based on following components

- Target market and value proposition
- Revenue model/ Financial plan
- Promotional / communications plan
- lmplementation plan
- Contingency plan
- Viability / feasibility
Moreover Judges shall also evaluate if the entrepreneur has demonstrated a knowledge of strong business fundamentals? Have they provided information relating to the growth, revenue and profit of the business? Has the entrepreneur effectively communicated the business and its vision?Does the Entrepreneur business show strong potential for future growth?
